The Refrigerated Fleet

KHL Group operates a fleet of eight refrigerated trucks, each designed to maintain consistent low temperatures throughout transit. These are not general-purpose vehicles — they are purpose-built for frozen food logistics, with insulated cargo compartments and active refrigeration units that keep products at the required temperature from loading bay to delivery point.

The fleet currently serves KHL's own product distribution lines, delivering frozen chicken, Japanese Wagyu beef, I DO sweet corn, and O Sayang fried ice cream to clients across Johor. Because KHL controls the fleet directly — rather than relying on third-party transporters — scheduling, routing, and temperature compliance are managed in-house. This reduces handover points in the cold chain and gives the operations team visibility over every delivery from dispatch to arrival.

Regular fleet maintenance and temperature monitoring are part of KHL's broader food safety management system, which operates under HACCP and ISO 22000 certifications. Each truck's refrigeration performance is tracked to ensure the cold chain remains unbroken — a requirement for both domestic compliance and KHL's export operations to more than 20 countries.

KHL's refrigerated fleet reaches every district in Johor. From the state capital in the south to the northern border towns and the east coast, the delivery network covers:

• Johor Bahru — The state capital and largest urban centre. Deliveries cover the city centre and key townships including Skudai, Masai, Gelang Patah, Tampoi, Ulu Tiram, and Kempas, where hotels, restaurants, and wholesale buyers are concentrated.

KHL's headquarters and dispatch centre are located in Simpang Renggam, a town positioned near the midpoint of Johor along the North-South Expressway (E2). This central location is not incidental — it is a deliberate operational choice that enables efficient routing in every direction.
